Lighting influences our sense of well being, affecting the way we feel and our mood. Designed lighting transforms a space, highlighting key architectural and decorative features to harmonise aesthetics with the specific function of a room, building or landscape, playing with our perceptions to create a prescribed atmosphere of excitement or serenity, sophistication and intimacy.
THE LIGHTING EDITION
Gus Goidanich offers bespoke lighting and design solutions that are custom tailored to the needs of each client and project, employing skilful architectural lighting tools to design casually elegant schemes that are warm, comfortable and very liveable while ensuring the best light quality in projects with the use of the very latest technologies.
If you are only planing decorative changes to an existing area or are managing your own project, a on site lighting and design consultation is perfect for you. After discussing the requirements for the project, Gus will advise on architectural and decorative elements as well as lighting positioning and circuiting. Following the visit, Gus will prepare a detailed sketch plan and a conceptual book with mood images of the ideas discussed.
One Room Design
If you are refurbishing a room and want to ensure the best light quality for your project, a detailed one room design service may be the best option for you. After an initial consultation either on site or in the studio to demonstrate different lighting effects, Gus will prepare a plan showing the exact position of fittings as well as a full set of specification and quotation for all the equipment used in the scheme.
If you are refurbishing or building a new property, Gus offers a custom tailored design service including in-depth conceptual, spacial and lighting studies. The technical service provides detailed plans on CAD and a comprehensive specification pack with quotation for all equipment. 3D visualisations to illustrate what your new lighting will look like and a lux levels plan showing the final lighting effects can also be provided.
If required, Gus can manage the installation of all equipment from start to finish, liaising directly with your contractor, electrician and control engineer to ensure a high quality installation to achieve the design intent. Following installation, Gus can also commission the scheme to enhance the overall result, setting the final lighting scenes and prepare a snagging list for a smooth completion.
After graduating in Interior Design from KLC School of Design, Gus worked with London based firms Candy & Candy, John Cullen Lighting and commercial lighting practice EQ2 Light in residential and commercial projects around the world, from newly-built to period listed properties.
